HECTOR SAXE X ORLINSKI

HECTOR SAXE X ORLINSKI

when play becomes sculpture

Known for his faceted sculptures and his powerful, pop aesthetic, Richard Orlinski brings a decidedly artistic dimension to this classic object. Backgammon then becomes a medium of expression, where forms, colors, and materials interact with the artist's recognizable style.

Two versions were designed: one covered in embossed blue alligator leather, the other, more striking, in metallic silver leather. Inside, the tray reveals a graphic pattern of arrows in fuchsia, silver, and navy blue, creating a vibrant contrast with the white leather.

Handcrafted in Hector Saxe's Parisian workshops, each backgammon set embodies the fusion of artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression. Conceived as a unique piece, this collaboration transcends the simple game to become an object that is playful, decorative, and collectible.

With Hector Saxe × Richard Orlinski, backgammon is transformed into an art object to be played.

Now completed, this collaboration will remain a unique encounter between the sculptural universe of Richard Orlinski and the know-how of Hector Saxe.
